About Us

A Center for Active Aging

Embracing the concept of active aging is key to unlocking a life filled with vitality and fulfillment, well into our later years. The disparity between average life expectancy and healthy life expectancy in the United States highlights a critical opportunity for improvement. By focusing on active aging, we can bridge this gap, ensuring that our golden years are not just extended but enriched. The benefits are profound: reduced healthcare costs, enhanced ability to engage in beloved activities, and an overall uplift in quality of life.

The Portage Zhang Senior Center is at the forefront of this movement, offering resources, programs, and support to help individuals age with grace, strength, and independence. By choosing to actively engage in our own aging process, we open the door to a future that is not just longer, but significantly better.

Join us at the Portage Zhang Senior Center and step into a world where aging is not about decline, but about thriving in every sense of the word.
