Early Voting

Early Voting in Michigan

Following the passage of Proposal 2 in November 2022, Michigan is now one of twenty-one states that offer in-person early voting for state and federal elections.  Early voting starts statewide for the February 2024 Presidential Primary.

Early voting is different than in-person absentee voting in that voters can enter their ballot into a tabulator rather than waiting until Election Day; however, results are not generated until the polls close on Election Day.EV Video

There will be four early voting sites throughout Kalamazoo County, all of which can accommodate voters from any participating jurisdiction, including Portage.

Each site is open 9 AM to 5 PM daily.
