At this unique event, each couple (married, dating, or friends) will complete one canvas to create a beautiful mirror image watercolor painting. Intro to Embroidery Tuesday, July 23 2 – 3:30 PM $20 Members / $25 Non-Members Instructed by: Sarah Nott Have you enjoyed other fiber arts such as knitting and crochet? Have you seen works of embroidery online or by others, but have not known where to start? Come learn the basics of decorative embroidery! Students will learn the terminology, techniques, and materials necessary to create decorative embroideries in this basics class. This class is recommended for those with a steadier hand who do not struggle with nearsightedness. Zero experience required; all materials provided. Concerts in the Courtyard – Out of Favor Boys TrioThursday, July 25 4 – 6 PM $10 and Open to the Public In the past 15+ years, Out of Favor Boys have become a blues staple in Southwest Michigan and beyond. OFB3 (the Out of Favor Boys Trio) delivers a mix of the band’s original music along with classic and contemporary blues favorites. The more intimate instrumentation (acoustic guitars and saxophone) allows the trio to delve into other genres of music, including pop, rock and country, which highlights the band’s diverse influences. Sets sometimes include radio favorites from the 80s and 90s. Cash bar and bottled water available. Registration is required by calling (269) 329-4555. *Attendees are encouraged to bring their own bag chair as PZSC seating is limited, and sun protection.

Clay Slab Mugs / Cups Two Day/Time Choices:Thursday, July 25, 3 – 5 PM Tuesday, August 13, 1 – 3 PM $35 Members / $40 Non-Members Instructed by: Kimberly Barrett Join ceramicist Kim Barrett who will lead you through the process of creating your very own hand built ceramic slab mug / cup. This project should only take two hours of working time in which you will construct and embellish your slab mug. You’ll then choose from a select group of glazes to be completed by the instructor. No previous knowledge necessary. *Please note: Ceramic clay is very different from polymer clay and air-dry clay. After around a week of drying time, your mug/cup will be fired & glazed by our instructor. At a later date, you will pick up and enjoy your own usable work of art. Fun Walks - New Times for Summer!Wednesday, August 2110 AM – 12 PMFree- Call to register at (269) 329 – 4555Join us and other PZSC members for a fun walk through Portage. Plan to meet at 10 AM to sign in at the South Parking Lot at Portage Creek Bicentennial Park. Group Leader Lynn will have a sign held up so people can see where to gather. Walkers can complete the whole route of about 3 miles round trip or turn back at any time. The walk will begin at 10:15 AM. Be sure to wear comfortable and sturdy shoes, and sunblock is recommended. It is hot in August, so be sure to have hydration! See you there!

REMINDER: Cancellation/ Refund Policy for Classes & ProgramsPlease make sure to register early for all programs and classes offered by PZSC to ensure you get a spot and to avoid the cancellation of classes due to low enrollment. Effective immediately, the PZSC Cancellation Policy requires a 72-business hour (3 days) notice for all cancellations of classes and programs. If you need to cancel your reservation in a class, please do so at least 72-business hours in advance of the scheduled start time. Failure to provide the required notice will result in no refund or credit. Refunds will not be given after a program has begun unless there is a valid medical concern or emergency. However, if the cancellation is due to the discretion of PZSC, including weather advisories or instructor illness, a partial credit will be placed into the member’s account. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. Please note that the cancellation/refund policy for travel-related reservations are handled differently.
