Candidates with prior full-time experience will he hired in at an advance pay step based on prior years of experience, up to Step F. Step F of the current Portage Police Officer’s Association collective bargaining agreement is currently paying $37.20 per hour/$77,371 annually. Step F will be $38.87 per hour/$80,852 annually (effective July 1, 2023) and $40.63 per hour/$84,491 annually (effective July 1, 2024). New lateral transfers will also receive a $15k sign-on bonus.
