A historic mid-term election is fast approaching and the Office of the City Clerk needs election workers!  To work the election, you must be a Portage resident, a registered voter in the State of Michigan and at least 18 years of age.  Training is provided on Thursday, November 1 at Portage City Hall from 9 a.m - 12 noon.  Workers are compensated $20 for training and $140 for working Election Day.   Election Day is Tuesday, November 6 and the hours are 6 a.m. until 9 or 10 p.m.  If you are interested, please contact the Human Resources Department at (269) 329-4533 by 12 noon on Monday, October 29.
