Public Safety Displays and Summer Movie Night at Celery Flats!
The City of Portage Youth Advisory Committee and the Breakfast Optimist Club of Kalamazoo have teamed up to host free public safety demonstrations and Summer Movie Night in the Park at the Celery Flats Historical Area in Portage. The event will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018.
The evening will begin with public safety displays from 7 to 9 PM. Children, teens and adults may visit with state, county and local public safety personnel and view displays of public safety equipment such as police vehicles, fire apparatus and ambulances. Mounted police and K-9 units will be present as well. The Grand Rapids Police Department will be in attendance with their Cop Car Karaoke!
The movie, Wonder (rated PG) will begin shortly after dusk. This event is free and open to the public. Popcorn will be provided.
