Enjoy a day full of fall activities at the Fall Festival this Sunday, October 3, from 10 AM - 2 PM at the Celery Flats Historical Area (7335 Garden Lane). Take a horse-drawn carriage from the Celery Flats Historical Area to the Portage Farmers Market at City Hall (7900 South Westnedge Avenue). After collecting your produce at the market, Chef Russ will demonstrate how to prepare autumn vegetables at 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM.
The historical buildings at the Celery Flats Historical Area will be open for tours along with crafts and historical demonstrations such as rope making, glass blowing, pottery, woodturning and blacksmithing, as well as a self-guided activity at the cemetery from 10AM – 2 PM. Scheumann Farm & Petting Zoo will be onsite from 10 AM – 1:30 PM with a collection of animals, including Roscoe the camel.
