The City of Portage presents the Career Exploration Showcase for those looking to enter or re-enter the workforce. This free event is set for Thursday, September 9, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Celery Flats Historical Area.
Job seekers will have the opportunity to meet with more than twelve local companies to explore job opportunities, learn what skills are most needed in today’s job market, and discuss the companies’ interview and hiring processes. With expanded unemployment programs set to expire on September 4, the timing of this event is perfect.
Creating connections with other people and being exposed to a variety of thoughts and ideas leads to a strong and diverse community.
