After 9 PM on Friday, July 24, a traffic shift will occur on Shaver Road and South Westnedge Avenue from West Centre Avenue to approximately 600 feet north of the Shaver Road and South Westnedge Avenue intersection. Traffic will be shifted to the outside lanes. No left turns will be allowed at the Shaver Road and South Westnedge Avenue intersection through the weekend.
Beginning at 6 AM on Saturday, July 25, construction work on the water main will begin within the Shaver Road and South Westnedge Avenue intersection. As water main work in the intersection continues, all traffic will be shifted to the east lanes. This work is expected to be complete on Monday, July 27, at which time left turns will again be allowed at the Shaver Road and South Westnedge Avenue intersection.
Traffic delays can be expected in this area and drivers are urged to seek an alternate route. It is anticipated that construction on this project will be completed in August 2020 (weather and materials permitting).
