[ARCHIVED] Boil Water Advisory

Kitchen Faucet Glass

On April 24, 2020, a water main break occurred at Romence Road and Sears Drive. It became necessary to depressurize a large area of water main to complete the repair. Portage water customers on Romence Road (from 349 - 808 only), Bolingbrook Drive, Sparrow Ridge Street, Castlefort Avenue and Windhaven Court are advised to boil their tap water for a minimum of one minute prior to use for drinking, brushing teeth or cooking. The attached map illustrates the boil water advisory area.

This is a precautionary measure and all means of flushing and collecting bacteriological samples from the water main before the advisory is lifted will be followed. A news release will follow once the advisory is over.

For more information, please call the City of Portage Department of Transportation & Utilities at 329-4422.
