The City of Portage Compost Facility will be open for residents to drop off leaves on Saturday, December 7 from 8 AM – 12 PM and on Monday, December 9 through Friday, December 13 from 8 AM to 3:30 PM. Only loose leaves and leaves in biodegradable paper yard waste bags will be accepted on these dates.
The compost facility is located at 10905 Oakland Drive, just south of Osterhout Avenue. This service is restricted to Portage homeowners; be prepared to present proof of residency (driver’s license). Leaves from commercial establishments, churches and schools will not be accepted.
