The Quarterly Curbside Brush Collection begins on January 5 in Zone 1 (see map). The January collection includes the pickup of whole Christmas trees (free of tinsel and ornaments).
To ensure collection, place brush and Christmas trees at the curb by 7 AM on the Monday of your scheduled week. Each street will be collected once, and each zone will be cleared during its designated week. Crews cannot return for late set-outs.
If snowfall occurs, please clear snow from brush piles and Christmas trees so crews can easily locate them.
The Leaf and Brush Drop-Off Day will take place at the City of Portage Compost Facility on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 9 AM to 1 PM. The facility is located at 10905 Oakland Drive, just south of West Osterhout Avenue.
