Portage Department of Public Safety – Fire Division to host F.I.R.E. Open House
Get ready for fun family activities with the Portage Public Safety – Fire Division at the F.I.R.E. Open House on Saturday, October 11, from 9 AM to 1 PM at Fire Station No. 1, 7830 Shaver Road. The event is FREE and open to the public. No registration is required.
Activities will include fire truck tours, a facility tour, fire safety tips, fire extinguisher simulations, refreshments, and more. Puppet shows and kids’ activities will also take place throughout the open house. A food truck will be on-site selling beverages and goodies. School kids will also be able to get their photos taken at the Fire Station from 9:15 AM to 12 PM. Open House gives the community a chance to connect with the people who serve them, explore the fire trucks, and learn safety lessons that can create lasting habits and may one day make all the difference for their family.”
