Hey, Portage! Don’t be a Scrooge! Are you ready to get into the holiday spirit? Enter your holiday-themed home in our “Decked Out Home 3” Holiday Decorating Contest sponsored by Consumers Energy. Just upload your photos (no more than five) of your “decked out home” and your address in the comments below or email them to publicinformation@portagemi.gov by Tuesday, December 16 at 11:59 PM EST to enter.
An interactive map and the voting link will be posted on this Facebook page on Wednesday, December 17. YOU WILL BE THE JUDGE THIS YEAR AND VOTE FROM Wednesday, December 17 through Sunday, December 22—only one vote per household (IP address).
The winning homes will be announced on Facebook on Monday, December 23, 2024, and awarded their prize and a special certificate in person at the January 7, 2025, Portage City Council Meeting at 6 PM. Thanks to our sponsor, Consumers Energy, the following CASH prizes will be awarded:
- First Place - $200
- Second Place - $150
- Third Place - $100
* Addresses will be publicly shared on our Facebook page so people can drive by and enjoy the splendor.
CONTEST RULES
- Entries must be submitted by the homeowner in the comment section of this “Decked Out Home” 3 Holiday Decorating Contest Facebook post or email to publicinformation@portagemi.gov by 11:59 PM on December 16.
- A Portage, Michigan address (49002 or 49024 zip codes) must be included in the submission.
- You must be 18 years or older to enter.
- Participation is FREE and open to the public.
- Only one entry per address. You must live at the address to enter.
- You must have a valid email address access to participate.
- The certificate holds no cash value
