Opening Day for the 2024 Portage Farmers Market is Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 9 AM to 1 PM at Portage City Hall, 7900 South Westnedge Avenue. The opening day market will feature live music from local musician “Tim. Just Tim”, balloon animals, and more than 30 vendors offering locally made specialty products like freshly grown asparagus, popcorn on the cob, apples, and more. The Youth Advisory Committee will also host the 16th Annual Green-A-Thon. To honor Arbor Day, the YAC will give away Arborvitae, Eastern Red Bud, and Sugar Maple seedlings.
The Portage Farmers Market operates at Portage City Hall every Sunday, May 5 to October 13 from 9 AM to 1 PM. Throughout the season, shoppers can treat themselves to fresh-cut flowers, delicious seasonal produce, artisan baked goods, locally raised meats and cheeses, coffee, freshly prepared ready-to-eat food, artwork from local artists, handmade crafts, and more.
