The Portage Department of Technology Services is excited to announce the launch of a new app that will allow users to see where snowplows have been and what their routes are during active snow events. The app utilizes Automated Vehicle Location (AVL), Geographic Positioning System (GPS) and Geographic Information System (GIS) technologies to visually display the real-time locations of active snow plows deployed during a snow event. The app will also display the plowed status of all city roads on an interactive map. PlowTraxx™ can be accessed here and on the MI.Portage app (available in the App Store & on Google Play).
