Paw Prints Program Cancelled for August 25
The Paw Prints program scheduled for Thursday, August 25, 2022, has been cancelled due to a canine parvovirus-like illness detected in Michigan. This virus is spread by dog-to-dog contact and contact with contaminated feces and environments. It is not contagious to people or other animals, according to Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development (MDARD). Out of an abundance of caution, the City of Portage has cancelled this program.
