Construction on the South Westnedge Avenue Reconstruction Project from Romence Road to Mall Drive continues. Night-time milling and paving operations will begin on the northbound lanes beginning at 6 PM on Sunday, July 29 and continue through Wednesday, August 1. Work is planned to begin south of Mall Drive and move toward Romence Road. Access to the Ruth / Della neighborhood will be maintained at all times. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic during paving operations.
The City of Portage is committed to keeping the traffic flowing during the construction period. There will be brief periods of limited access to driveways during milling and paving operations. Traffic delays can be expected in this area and through traffic is advised to use alternate routes.
