The City of Portage welcomes back the famous Glenn Miller Orchestra the on Thursday, August 2, at 7 p.m. as part of the 2018 Summer Concert Series. Sponsored by the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo and Celebration Cinema, this outdoor event will be held at the Overlander Bandshell (7810 Shaver Road) with lawn seating; bring a lawn chair or blanket.
The Portage Rotary and A Pizza Yen will team up to provide concessions available for purchase and Smoked Down BBQ will offer up their award-winning BBQ.
Handicap and special needs parking will be available behind the Department of Public Safety. A shuttle will run to and from the Overlander Bandshell to the parking lots at City Hall, the Portage District Library and First Reformed Church.
