Portage Reptile Roundup
Portage Parks & Recreation presents the first ever Portage Reptile Roundup (formally Repticon) at the Celery Flats Historical Area (7335 Garden Lane) on Saturday, June 12 from 12 – 4 PM. Join the Michigan Society of Herpetologists and Critchlow Alligator Sanctuary, along with other reptiles and amphibians that will be on-site, for a day of slithering fun!
Get an up-close look at different types of reptiles, learn cool reptile facts, enjoy story time, and try your hand at a reptilian craft. Critchlow Alligator Sanctuary will hold two presentations during the afternoon (at 12:30 and 2:30 PM) and the Herpetologist Society will have an assortment of reptiles on display. Both will focus on reptilian characteristics, habitats and fun facts to help build your reptile and amphibian knowledge. Admission is FREE and open to the public, no registration required.
