Beginning Thursday, August 20, 2020 pedestrian traffic for the Milham Avenue Pedestrian Bridge will be detoured via the Newport Road intersection. Signs will be posted along the Portage Creek Bicentennial Trail directing trail users to the detour route. This project is anticipated to be completed a month ahead of schedule and before the Labor Day holiday weekend.
The City of Portage is committed to keeping the traffic flowing during the construction, however,vehicular traffic on East Milham Avenue will continue to have lane closures throughout the duration of the project. Drivers are urged to slow down and watch for workers engaged in this activity.
