This summer, Portage Parks & Recreation “Movies in the Park” and “Friday at the Flats” will be held at a new location - Ramona Park (8600 South Sprinkle Road). Each Movie in the Park will start at 9 p.m. “drive-in style” while patrons remain in their car to maintain social distancing. The Friday at the Flats food trucks and carts will be open from 5 - 8 p.m.
The Ramona Park “Drive-in” can accommodate approximately 200 vehicles and larger vehicles will be asked to park in the back of the parking area. The drive-in parking area will open at 4:30 p.m. and will close once capacity is reached or at 8:30 p.m., whichever occurs first. The 2020 summer movie schedule includes Frozen 2 on June 12; Jumanji: The Next Level on July 10; Detective Pikachu on July 17; Onward showing August 21. Admission is FREE! No movie concessions will be available so bring your own popcorn and candy.)
At Friday at the Flats, local food trucks and vendors will offer a wide variety of food for take-out only; no seating will be available. Whether you’re coming to watch the movie or just grabbing some take-out, enjoy food from Cairo’s Kitchen, Neighborhood BBQ, Ibison Concession and Specialty Cheesecake.
