Join the Portage Farmers Market on a Behind-the-Scenes Apple Cider Tour
Portage Parks & Recreation invites the community to a fun-filled afternoon of apple picking and apple cider at VerHage Fruit Farm on Wednesday, September 24, from 3:45 to 6:30 PM.
This family-friendly, immersive experience includes a wagon ride farm tour, a freshly-made donut and a cider mill demonstration, and more. This experience is recommended for participants ages five and up.
After the tour, participants will have time to pick apples, jump on the pillow jump, and explore the farm market (the participant fee does not cover additional apples or purchases from the market).
The tour begins and ends at Portage Parks & Recreation, 320 Library Lane, where participants will board a bus to the farm. The bus departs at 4 PM and arrives back at Parks & Recreation at 6:30 PM. The cost is $30 per participant, and advance registration is required at mypark.portagemi.gov.
