South Westnedge Avenue Reconstruction Project - Road Closure at Oakview Drive Intersection and Detour
Starting Monday, June 16, South Westnedge Avenue will be closed to all traffic at the Oakview Drive intersection for installation of sanitary sewer services. Access to Oakview Drive from South Westnedge Avenue is provided via Cherryview Drive, south of the road closure. This construction work will consist of a rolling road closure that will continue to the south to Bacon Avenue.
The posted detour for sanitary sewer work from Oakview Drive to Bacon Avenue for South Westnedge Avenue is Melody Avenue, Shaver Road, Oakland Drive, and Osterhout Avenue. This section of work is scheduled to be completed before the July 4 holiday, weather and materials permitting. Work regarding the closure of South Westnedge Avenue south of Bacon Avenue will follow with a different detour route. Motorists are advised to follow signed detour routes or seek an alternate route to avoid delays.
