Portage Farmers Market to Open for its 10th Season
Market Season: May 4 – October 12
Opening Day for the Portage Farmers Market is Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 9 AM to 1 PM at Portage City Hall, 7900 South Westnedge Avenue. The Opening Day market will feature LIVE music from local musician Mike Talbot, a visit from Portage’s mascot, Mr. Crispy, and over 30 vendors offering a variety of locally-made specialty products like fresh-cut flowers, delicious baked goods, a gourmet selection of meats and cheeses, and fresh seasonal produce grown by local farmers. The Youth Advisory Committee will host the 17th Annual Green-A-Thon. To honor Arbor Day, the YAC will give away White Pine, Eastern Redbud, and Sugar Maple tree seedlings.
The Portage Farmers Market operates at Portage City Hall every Sunday, May 4 to October 12, from 9 AM to 1 PM. In addition to being a great opportunity for weekly shopping, the market is a fun place to grab a bite to eat. Shoppers can treat themselves to a cup of locally roasted coffee or sit down for a freshly prepared breakfast or lunch, while listening to LIVE music from a variety of local musicians each week.
