“Respect for Law” Movie Night
The Portage Department of Public Safety, Portage Youth Advisory Committee and Breakfast Optimist Club of Kalamazoo team up to host the annual “Respect for Law” event. The movie Spiderman Into the Spider-Verse (rated PG) will be shown at approximately 9:15 PM. The evening will begin with Respect for Law Enforcement displays from 7 to 9 PM. Local public safety personnel will visit with children, teens and adults. Displays of public safety equipment, police vehicles, fire apparatus, and ambulances will also be available. Exhibitors include the Portage Public Safety Bike Patrol, Kalamazoo Metro SWAT, Kalamazoo County Sheriff Mounted Division, Portage Police K-9 Team and the Portage Department of Public Safety - Fire Division. The event is FREE and popcorn will be provided. Other refreshments will be available for purchase.
