Portage Parks & Recreation Introduces New Lecture Series - Terra Talks
Portage Parks & Recreation introduces a new lecture series on transforming your backyard and becoming a guardian of the environment. This series delves into the heart of land management, ecological preservation, natural habitats, native plants, and gardening techniques.
Expert speakers will guide participants through a variety of topics including shoreline gardening techniques, benefits of native planting, strategic management of invasive species, and explore the significance that public parks and protected lands play in sustaining our natural heritage. Attend one or all the lectures offered on Fridays, February 28 to March 28 from 6 to 7 PM at Portage Parks & Recreation, 320 Library Lane. These programs are FREE, registration is required. Books selected by the speakers will be available for purchase.
