The City of Portage invites interested firms to submit information regarding their experience, qualifications, and fees for providing professional engineering services for the Portage Road corridor improvements including road rebalancing, improved safe and accessible sidewalks, a non-motorized trail, bike lanes, access management, replacement of aging infrastructure, and road resurfacing. Streetscape improvements consist of gateway features, consolidated driveways, trees, LED streetlights, and increased walkability of the Lake Center Corridor. Safety improvements include but are not limited to the construction of a roundabout, the replacement of a traffic signal, and a signalized pedestrian crossing linked with the timing of the traffic signals on the corridor.
