[ARCHIVED] End of Tornado Collections

2024 06-14 End of Brush and Debris Collection

The curbside collection of tornado brush and debris in Portage in the areas affected by the May 7 tornado will end on Friday, June 14. Crews from the City of Portage and College Hunks will continue collection in the neighborhoods affected by the tornado today and tomorrow. If you have materials that you would like to have collected, please place them at the curb by 7 AM on Friday, June 14.
The remaining brush (vegetation) will be collected during the July Curbside Brush Collection Program. Program details can be found at portagemi.gov/280.
Residents with remaining tornado debris, such as roofing, siding, and lumber, are encouraged to contact the Department of Public Works at 329-4444 to explore available removal options.
