Portage Parks & Recreation will hold a public input meeting for the Austin Lake Trail draft plan on Wednesday, February 7 at 7 PM at Portage Parks & Recreation, 320 Library Lane. Portage citizens are encouraged to attend the meeting to review the draft plan, ask questions, and provide comments.
The proposed Austin Lake Trail is a non-motorized, paved off-road trail spanning three miles from the city’s southern border along the scenic east side of Austin Lake to Zylman Avenue. The input from this meeting will be used to enhance the trail design and to support grant applications to the Michigan Department of Transportation and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. On Tuesday, February 6 at 8 AM, a copy of the draft plan can be viewed at portagemi.gov/644.
