Event Vendor Opportunities
Portage Parks & Recreation offers several FREE events throughout the year. These events support and strengthen the sense of community. Our goal is to promote and help grow your community business by offering different ways to participate. These events are published in our bi-annual program guide and in the monthly Portager that is distributed to 24,000 households. We also advertise all events on posters, banners, and social media. This is your chance to come out and connect with your community. Please check out the different opportunities available to find the ones that work best for you! Looking for more information? Spring / Summer Events
Help build a strong sense of community at Friday at the Flats (FATF): Block Party. The event runs from May through August, at Celery Flats, where there is LIVE music, a variety of food trucks, and community vendor booths. This family-friendly event is the perfect setting for a night out with your family and friends!
Applications are being accepted for an exciting new opportunity where community businesses, service providers, nonprofits, entertainers, crafters, etc., can engage with attendees at this season's FATF. Help make FATF the place to be!
This opportunity allows those participating to showcase or provide information about their business or service, present programs or lesson offerings, introduce educational pursuits and specialized training programs, sell arts, crafts, or creations, and much more. This is also a chance for performers to spotlight their talents and interact by exhibiting their skills, such as magic shows, comedy skits, dance skills, stilt walkers, performance art, etc.
We are accepting applications for Food Trucks for this event. Food Trucks must be set up and ready to serve no later than 5:45 PM. All Food Trucks must stay on site until after the crowd has cleared the area when the event ends at 9 PM.

Fall / Winter Events
Embrace the captivating feel of autumn in Michigan at our annual Fall Fest Celebration, where you can take a step back in time with historical demonstrations and tours while enjoying all things Fall.
We are looking for more historical demonstrations, especially in the areas of woodworking, stained glass, book binding, printing, etc. In past years, we have featured blacksmithing, ceramics, wheat weaving, broom making, quilting, glass blowing, and rope making. Do you have a skill or trade that has been around for decades that you would like to demonstrate and share with the community? Does your business focus on skilled handmade items? If so, please fill out an application to be a demonstrator today.
Fall Fest also features our Fall Boutique Market, where you can find apples, cider, pumpkins, mums, fall decorations, and more. Does your business feature old-fashioned handmade items or fall-themed décor and gifts? Apply to be a vendor today!
