    Rotating exhibitions that focus on local arts and history are in the lobby at Portage City Hall throughout the year. The exhibitions are FREE to the public and are open Monday through Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM. In partnership with the Society for History and Racial Equity (SHARE), Kalamazoo Valley Museum, and Portage District Library, we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with an exhibition. This installation features historical photos of the Civil Rights Movement and inspirational quotes from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. that still resonate today.

  2. Kidscape After School: Indoor Games

    Kidscape After School is a new, exciting after school program that features fun recreational activities and games. This youth program is designed for children from 3rd - 8th grade and will feature a variety of indoor activities. The Indoor Games Club is a game sampler program for children held at the Portage Parks & Recreation building. Each week, children will learn and play a different game. These include active games like Cornhole, Ladder Ball, and Ping Pong and old school board games. This program is for children ages 8 - 11 and focuses on fun, variety, and good gamesmanship. Maximum of 16 participants.

  3. Yoga 4 Life: Session 2

    Join personal fitness trainer, Josie Moorlag for this six-week yoga class offered during the fall and winter. Yoga is an excellent way to relax, refocus and improve your strength, balance, and flexibility. This class is open to adults 18 and over with all levels of experience. Students must bring their own yoga mat, water, and wear comfortable exercise clothing. Maximum of 20 participants per session.
