City Hall Exhibition: Portage Community Art Award

Rotating exhibitions that focus on local arts and history are in the lobby at Portage City Hall throughout the year. The exhibitions are FREE to the public and are open Monday through Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM. In collaboration with the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts’ annual West Michigan Area Show (WMAS), this exhibition presents an array of works from this year’s winning Portage artist, Nancy Vanderberg whose work best represents the city’s theme, A Natural Place to Move!

Curbside Recycling - Week A

Through a dedicated, voter-approved millage, the Curbside Recycling Program provides for the collection of recyclable materials at the curbside.

Leaf Collection - Zone 2

Each fall, the City of Portage operates a leaf collection program that includes the collection of leaves along public streets in each zone. Leaf collection will occur three times in each zone or until prohibited by weather. ONLY loose leaves or leaves bagged in biodegradable paper bags will be collected. Leaves in plastic bags (including biodegradable plastic bags) WILL NOT be collected. Place leaves at the curb by 7 AM on your scheduled pickup date.
