  1. City Hall Exhibition - One-Room Schoolhouse

    Rotating exhibitions are featured in the atrium at Portage City Hall (7900 South Westnedge Avenue) throughout the year and focus on local arts and history. The exhibitions are FREE to the public and are open Monday through Friday from 9 AM – 4 PM. An exhibit to feature the historic One-Room District #8 Schoolhouse also known as Prairie Edge School built in 1856. Don’t miss these previously unpublicized large-scale images of what days were like during these times.

    The Portage Farmers Market opens May 9 and will run through October 24, every Sunday from 10 AM – 2 PM.   3. Kid's Try-It! Sports

    Summer is the time to try new things! We have a great opportunity for your little ones, ages 4-5 & 6-7, to have a hands-on experience with sports activities. For six weeks, children will experience a new and different sport through fun drills and games each week! In addition to practicing the basics of each sport, kids will learn sportsmanship, teamwork and to try, try again!
