Area groups, clubs, families and organizations create seasonal “cards” to create the Holiday Card Walk along walkways in the Celery Flats Historical Area. Cards should depict a winter, non-denominational, holiday theme, painted on a 4’ x 8’ sheet of plywood; minimum ½ inch thick, painted white on the backside and able to withstand outdoor weather conditions. The cards will be installed in an upright (vertical) position. Cards can be picked up after January 7, 2021. Any cards remaining after January 24 may be disposed of by the city. Holiday trees decorated by local businesses and organizations add to the festive atmosphere of the Celery Flats Historical Area. Contact Portage Parks & Recreation by November 1 at 329-4522 for more information and to reserve a tree (while supplies last).
