  1. Portage Community Art Award Exhibition

    Rotating exhibitions that focus on local arts and history are featured at Portage City Hall throughout the year. The exhibitions are free to the public and are open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Portage Community Art Award Exhibition In collaboration with the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts’ West Michigan Area Show (WMAS), the City of Portage awarded the 2nd Annual Portage Community Art Award to June Belitz for her work titled “Sitting on Top of the World.” The WMAS is a juried exhibition of the visual arts, featuring a wide variety of mediums from a 14-county region and the Portage Community Art Award is presented to the Portage artist whose work best represents A Natural Place to Move. Ms Belitz’s work of art will be on display in Portage City Hall Lobby for one year beginning, Thursday, September 12, 2019 Several other original works of art will be exhibited through Thursday, October 31, 2019.

  2. Field Sports League- Adult Co-Ed Soccer

    September 30, 2019 - November 11, 2019 @ South Westnedge Park

    Get active and social this fall playing soccer under the lights! We’ve teamed up with the Kalamazoo Sport & Social Club to offer these fun seven-week recreational leagues. League dues include team game shirts, prizes/awards and end of season celebration. Register as a full team, a small group or a free agent. So dust off those knee-high socks and get ready to make a ton of new friends this fall! Register beginning July 8 at Registration closes September 13. Played in a modified 7v7 format, this soccer league is self-officiated and teams must include a minimum of three females.
