  1. Adult Pickleball Leagues- Co-Ed Competitive Session 3

    September 10, 2019, All Day @ Ramona Park & Beach

    Registration for the third session will begin on July 22. Portage is excited to offer pickle ball leagues for the first time this upcoming summer! Leagues will be offered on Tuesdays (competitive), Wednesdays (intermediate) and Thursdays (recreational) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Ramona Park (8600 South Sprinkle Road) and Lakeview Park (9345 Portage Road). Three six week sessions are offered for each league. Competitive Session 1: June 4 Tuesday Intermediate Session 1: June 5 Wednesday Recreational Session 1: June 6 Thursday Competitive Session 2: July 23 Tuesday Intermediate Session 2: July 24 Wednesday Recreational Session 2: July 25 Thursday Competitive Session 3: September 10 Tuesday Intermediate Session 3: September 11 Wednesday Recreational Session 3: September 12 Thursday Registration for the second session will begin on June 3 and close on July 12.     GIRL SCOUTS STEM PROGRAM Tuesdays, April 9, May 14, June 11, July 9, August 6 and September 10, 6 – 7 p.m. Schrier Park (850 West Osterhout Avenue) FREE Welcome to Brain STEM with Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan! This program inspires girls to enthusiastically experience Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). These fun and interactive activities for girls, and will increase their understanding and confidence while they learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in unique ways. This is a great opportunity to open girls’ eyes to all the possibilities available. Activities may include making a circuit, constructing domes out of gumdrops, and making a musical instrument out of rubber bands, and more!
