    Kalamazoo Cornhole will help host cornhole leagues in Portage! Play with friends or bring your own ‘A’ game. Experience fun with this low impact sport all season long. This is an eight-game season with game times running from 6:30 - 8:30 PM. Registration begins on July 26 and closes August 20.   2. City Hall Exhibition - Portage Community Art Award

    Rotating exhibitions are featured in the atrium at Portage City Hall (7900 South Westnedge Avenue) throughout the year and focus on local arts and history. The exhibitions are FREE to the public and are open Monday through Friday from 9 AM – 4 PM. In collaboration with the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts’ West Michigan Area Show, this exhibition will present an array of works from this year’s winning Portage artist whose work best represents the theme A Natural Place to Move.

  6. Portage Culinary Academy - Fall Food Delish - Dish with Chef to be AJ

    The Portage Culinary Academy offers monthly cooking classes at Stuart Manor. Whether you are a beginning cook or at the intermediate level, the Portage Culinary Academy has something for you. These cooking classes have limited space and fill up quickly. To register, visit mypark.portagemi.gov and click the purple Recreation Activities & Facility Rentals button. The registration deadline is 2 weeks prior to each class. Start Fall right with aspiring Chef AJ with a seasonal snack spread! Working with True Blue farms and their berry bounty, she will discuss the importance of local sustainability and teach you how to whip up a great meal.

  7. Rolling with Ranger

    Get riding with this guided bike ride with Park Rangers. This program is geared for kids who will learn how to complete a pre-ride safety check and tune-up on their bicycle. Participants must bring in their own bike, helmet and a chaperone (if 16 years or younger). To register, visit mypark.portagemi.gov and click on the purple Recreation Activities & Facility Rentals.
