The City of Portage Environmental Board needs volunteers to assist in habitat preservation by removing invasive species that threaten the native environment of our parks. Volunteers learn how to identify garlic mustard and make a significant impact by properly removing and helping to eradicate it from natural areas. No experience or training is needed and volunteers of all ages are welcome. Supplies are provided by the City of Portage.
2022 Garlic Mustard Volunteer Pull Dates (9 AM to 12 PM):
May 15 – South Westnedge Park (9010 South Westnedge Avenue)
