Deadline Approaching

Annual Photo Contest Deadline Approaching_

The submission deadline for the Annual Portage Parks & Recreation Photo Contest is June 3, 2022. Every year, Portage Parks & Recreation collaborates with the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo to get a glimpse of Portage Parks through the lens of the community. To participate in the 2022 Annual Photo Contest, entry forms must be emailed to mypark@portagemi.gov by June 3. Photos must be taken in one of the City of Portage parks and be a minimum of 2 MB in size with 300 pixels per inch resolution. 

Photographers may submit entries in four categories: Seasonal Changes, Outdoor Recreation, Flora & Fauna, and Youth (14 years of age and under). There is a limit of three entries per category. Entry costs are $10 for Seasonal Changes, Outdoor Recreation, and Flora & Fauna categories. Entry costs are $5 for up to three entries in the Youth Category.

Prizes will be awarded for each of the four categories. First place ($75), second place ($35), and third place ($25). First place winners will be recognized in City of Portage publications and the top three entry winners of each category will be displayed in City Hall lobby from July 1 through September 2, 2022.
