Genealogy: Virtual Event

Heritage Genealogy 401

Heritage, Lineage, Ancestry, Genealogy - Oh MY!

How many times have you wondered about your family history? Where did my ancestors come from and what did they do? Were they a farmer, politician, explorer, builder, or merchant? If you are intrigued to learn of your family’s history, join a member of the Kalamazoo Valley Genealogical Society (KVGS) and ZOOM with us to discover resources that build and grow your family tree! If you have deep roots in the Portage area, we would be very interested in hearing more about your ancestry and their imprint on Portage!

To register, visit mypark.portagemi.gov and click on the purple Recreation Activities & Facility Rentals button. A computer with an internet connection is required. Fun and interesting work will be assigned in between classes. This program requires a minimum number of participants to proceed.

  •  Saturdays, March 13, 20, 27, and April 3, 1 - 2:30 PM.
  •  Classes will be held via ZOOM (Participants will be notified by email with information on how to join in).
  • $20 per person.
