Portage Senior Center

The Portage Senior Center (PSC) is closed to the public at this time because the population served is at too high risk to take a chance in welcoming people back into the facility. This decision will be reevaluated when Governor Whitmer transitions our region to Stage 5 of the MI Safe Start Plan. Any initial reopening will begin with a general facility reopening, not an immediate resumption of on-site programs and activities. PSC staff are working and are available via phone or email.

NCOAlogo_webThe Portage Senior Center was the first Center in the State of Michigan to earn the National Senior Center Accreditation from the National Council on Aging (NCOA). In 2016, the PSC successfully completed its fourth accreditation application. Accreditation means the Center meets the highest standards of excellence by ensuring there are smooth and efficient operating procedures and policies in place. In addition, it demonstrates a connection to the community and measures progress against a national baseline.
