    February 10, 2020, 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM @ Portage City Hall - City Council Chambers

A plan for a future Lake Center District that benefits property owners and businesses is necessary. The City of Portage is prepared to invest in the area to help stimulate the creation of an attractive and viable Lake Center District that functions on all levels. The city will utilize planning consultants who specialize in urban, mixed-use, pedestrian-friendly developments to help reimagine the Lake Center District. Before developing any plans, the city is seeking input from the businesses and residents in the area. A workshop for business owners and commercial property owners will be held on Monday, February 10, 2020 from 3:00 - 4:30 PM at City Hall. A separate workshop for area residents will be held on February 10 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. Attendees can talk with city staff, elected officials, and the planning consultants. While no decisions will be made at this meeting, the dialogue will assist the city and planners with some initial “likes” and “dislikes.”
