  1. Air Zoo Camps- Introductory Lego Robotics (3rd - 5th Grades)

    June 24, 2019, All Day @ Schrier Park

    AIR ZOO CAMPS Schrier Park (850 West Osterhout) The Air Zoo is teaming up with Portage Parks and Recreation to provide some of the same camps you love to attend at the Air Zoo – at Schrier Park! Registration begins April 1 for all camps by visiting www.airzoo.org/camps. Registration deadlines are the Friday at 3 p.m. before each camp starts. Introductory Lego Robotics (3rd – 5th grades) June 24 – 28, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 pm $150 per child Design, build, and program a Lego EV3 robot to complete daily challenges. Use your creativity in modifying your robot design to navigate a maze, play a song, and push your opponents off a challenge mat! Invite your family to be spectators at the final showdown on Friday afternoon! Note: Campers do not keep the Lego robot.

    YMCA YOUTH TENNIS CAMPS Oakland Drive Park (7650 Oakland Drive) Participants will acquire basic knowledge of all strokes with an emphasis on playing points on a scaled down court size utilizing developmental equipment. Match situations will be introduced. This camp is for beginner players learning how to play between the ages 5-14 years. Friday is make-up day in case of inclement weather.     Day campers will experience all the joys and benefits associated with fishing and environmental conservation. During this unique adventure, youth will have the opportunity to explore the outdoors and learn skills necessary to start their own fishing memories. Professional instruction and guidance is provided as youth participate in many hands on activities, and of course...GO FISHING! Registration fee includes a fishing rod.
