Pig Out at Public Safety! A Back-to-School Pig Roast

The Portage Department of Public Safety will host Pig Out at Public Safety! on Saturday, August 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Central Park behind the Department of Public Safety, rain or shine.  This back-to-school pig roast is geared toward elementary and middle school kids, who can meet the Portage school resource officers and get tours of Police, Fire and EMS vehicles.  Free back-to-school supplies will be available as long as supplies last.  Come enjoy the free pig roast, face painting and games.  Hotdogs will also be provided thanks to the generosity of the Portage Park Board.

The Portage Department of Public Safety is collecting K-8 school supplies (pencils, colored pencils, pencil sharpeners, erasers, markers, rulers etc.) for the event. Donations may be delivered to the lobby of the Department of Public Safety − Police Division at 7810 Shaver Road. Please call the Portage Community Policing Officer at 324-9255 with any questions.
