Citizen Input Needed on CDBG 2017-18 Annual Action Plan
The City of Portage Community Development Block Grant Program is funded by an annual entitlement grant awarded to the community by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Each year, the city is required to develop an Annual Action Plan that addresses the housing and community development needs identified in the five-year strategic plan entitled the 2016-2020 Consolidated Plan.
A complete draft of the 2017-18 Annual Action Plan has been prepared and a 30-day public review and comment period, which began on February 27, will conclude with a public hearing scheduled on
March 30, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. in Conference Room #1 of City Hall. Included in the draft 2017-18 Annual Action Plan are specific activities and proposed expenditures of CDBG Program funding to meet the goals of the strategic plan.
