Clerk (Part-Time) - Portage Fire Division

The City of Portage is seeking a part-time Clerk  for a responsible, clerical support position in the Fire Division.  The position performs a wide variety of duties including, but not limited to, telephone and counter customer service, various event registrations, typing, data entry and filing.  Hours are year-round, Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM, with additional hours as needed for office coverage.

Previous clerk and/or office experience is desired. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel,  with the ability to learn new systems easily. The desired candidate will have two years of experience in the clerical field and outstanding customer service, verbal and written skills. Hourly rate is $10.19. No benefits.   Selected candidate will have to pass a background investigation.
