Brush Pickup Delay

BrushDelay

To comply with Governor Whitmer’s Stay Home, Stay Safe Executive Order, the April Quarterly Brush Collection will be delayed by one week. The April collection, which includes the collection of bagged leaves and ornamental grasses in paper biodegradable yard waste bags, will begin on Monday, April 13. Leaves in plastic bags will not be collected. The map illustrates the new schedule for collection. This schedule may change should conditions dictate a further delay.

The Spring Cleanup Program, which includes the collection of unwanted household items, is currently set to run on schedule and begin on April 20. This schedule may change should conditions dictate a delay.

Please visit portagemi.gov/283 for complete program details and collection dates. Questions regarding these collection programs can be directed to the Department of Public Works at 329-4444. Please expect a delay in response due to limited staffing at all city offices.
